Access Blocked Websites in Schools , Colleges and Offices

Hi friends Today we will tell you how to access blocked Websites.Websites like facebook, twitter and other social networking sites are generally blocked in schools, colleges and offices. There exist some tricks by which you can bypass the restrictions and access blocked sites, the most obvious is the use of proxies or Anonymizer websites. But using proxies doesn’t always works as they gets blocked by firewall as well . Here I am listing some other methods to access blocked contents.

1. Use IP instead of URL

Each website has its equivalent ip address . This method works best when blocked sites are stored as a list of URLs .You can use ip address to access blocked contents . For example to access facebook you can use ip address 69.63.189.11 in your address bar . You can use ip-address.com to find the ip address of other websites .

2. Use Google Cache
All major search engines like Google yahoo and Bing stores cached pages of websites themselves . You can access blocked websites by viewing their cached copy on search engines .

3. Translations services
Translation services like Google Translate , translate a website from one language to another and display the translated results on their own page .You can access the blocked website by re-translating blocked url using such online translation services .

4. Retrieve web pages via Email
Web2Mail is a free service that sends any websites into your inbox. All you need to do is send an email to www@web2mail.com with the URL as subject title.

5. WayBack Machine
Wayback machine periodically keeps a copy of almost all websites on the internet from the date they have started . You can access your blocked site by fetching its latest copy from archives .

6. Screen-Resolution.com
Screen-Resolution.com allows you to view any website in a different resolution . This could be an interesting tool to access blocked websites .

7. Google Mobile Search
Google Mobile Search displays a web page as if you are viewing it on a mobile phone .You can use it to access blocked websites but javascript and css will be disabled .

8. Redirect with Short URL service
Short URL service are used for converting a long URL in a shorter one . You can convert your blocked url into a shorter one and use it to access blocked websites . This trick dont always works . The two popular url shortening service are bit.ly and adf.ly

9. USB Browsing
You can use this method if you have access to usb port ,you can load usb with your own portable Firefox, with the portable Tor plugin or you can directly use tor-firefox .or you can use USB browsing using mojo pack or any other software for this method..

10. Proxy Websites
This is the generally known method to access blocked websites . There are thousands of online proxies you can use to surf anonymously or to access blocked websites .

Nyan Cat Progress Bar

How to use it

Fairly-Important Note: Nyan Cat Progress Bar doesn't work properly on Windows XP. If you're still running XP, you might want to consider upgrading to Windows 7.

1. Download the Nyan Cat Progress Bar from here
2. Extract the ZIP file to a folder.
3. Run NyanCatProgressBar.exe
4. Try copying some files in Windows Explorer.

What apps does it work with?

Since the Nyan Cat Progress Bar depends on the progress bar being a standard Windows progress bar (ie. not a custom-drawn one, or a non-native one), it won't work with every progress bar on your system, but I've at least confirmed it works with Windows Explorer for file copies. If you want to hear music while you wait for more apps, try Instant Elevator Music instead: it has support for a lot more apps since it doesn't depend on being able to get the progress from the progress bar you're looking at.

How can I turn it off?

There are a few ways you can silence the Nyan Cat:

Right-click the Nyan Cat Progress Bar icon in your system tray (near the clock) and choose Silence! to stop the Nyan Cat from automatically activating.
If you don't want a particular program to activate the Nyan Cat, you can right-click the Nyan Cat Progress Bar icon and choose "Ignore (application name)". You can also add programs to the ignore list in the Settings dialog.
If you don't want Nyan Cat to activate while you're listening to music in either iTunes or Winamp, you can right-click the Nyan Cat Progress Bar icon, choose Settings, and then tick the "Don't show Nyan Cat if I'm listening to music in iTunes or Winamp" checkbox.

CHANGE THE COLOR OF THE WINDOW START BUTTON

For those of you using Windows XP and getting tired of the green start button, listen up! Here is a straight forward article showing you how to change the color of the Windows XP start button for free. The XP start button consists of three layers: a bitmap file, a start text, and a hover text.

Thanks to this circumstance you can simply change the color of the underlying bitmap image layer.

This hack describes how to change the color of the windows xp start button from the “Default (blue)” and “Olive Green” sub-designs of the “Windows XP Style” to a color of your liking. The same procedure can also be used to change other elements and designs.

First of all, you will need to download and run a tool called Resource Hacker. It will show you the contents of the file that we’re going to edit.
Before you start, I recommend to make a backup of any files that you are going to change.

To make a backup, open your Windows system root folder, typically found under C:\Windows. Alternatively you can go to > Start > Run, type %systemroot% in the field, and click OK. Within the folder, go to > Resources > Themes > Luna. You can also go there directly by tying %systemroot%/Resources/Themes/Luna in the Run dialog box.

Make a backup copy of the file “luna.msstyles”.

Now run Resource Hacker and open “luna.msstyles” and expand the following folders: > Bitmap > BLUE_STARTBUTTON_BMP. Here, you see the dreaded green color background image that is going to be changed.

Save the bitmap image to your desktop through > Action > “Save [Bitmap: BLUE_STARTUPBUTTON_BMP: 1033] …” and leave Resource Hacker open.

Open the saved bitmap image in a program such as Photoshop or Paint and work on the colors until you’re happy. Don’t change the original dimensions of the image and save it as bitmap (.bmp file). For this demonstration, I simply inverted the colors.

Once you have a new image, go back to Resource Hacker, click > Action, > “Replace Bitmap …”, and a window will open. In the top left click on > “Open file with new bitmap …”, select the .bmp file you edited, and click > Replace in the bottom right.

Don’t forget to save your changes in Resource Hacker, then close the program.

To see your changes, you must either reboot or change back and forth between two Windows styles. Right-click onto your desktop, select > Properties, go to > Appearance and switch the sub designs. To the left, you see my admittedly ugly result.

As mentioned previously, this hack describes changing the start button color for the “Default (blue)” and “Olive Green” designs. To change the button for the Silver design, edit and replace the bitmap image for METALLIC within the Bitmap folder of the luna.msstyles file.

Enjoy Hacks!!

BodgeIt Strore the vulnerable web application for penetration testers

Various applications such as vulnerable web applications such as Jarlsberg, WackoPicko, Damn Vulnerable Web Application (DVWA), Vicnum, etc. Now we have another application that is vulnerable and ready to be exploited! The BodgeIt Store is a vulnerable web application which is currently aimed at people who are new to penetration testing.

Features
  • Easy to install – just requires java and a servlet engine, e.g. Tomcat
  • Self contained (no additional dependencies other than to 2 in the above line)
  • Easy to change on the fly – all the functionality is implemented in JSPs, so no IDE required
  • Cross platform
  • Open source
  • No separate db to install and configure – it uses an ‘in memory’ db that is automatically (re)initialized on start up
Install
you need to do is download and open the zip file, and then extract the rar file into the webapps directory of your favorite servlet engine.

You may use http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-windows.html#522 for this
